“Stella Maris” statue

The statue is the work of the artist Paolo Di Scati and he plays Madonna del Carmine, patron of the city since 1852.
Modeled with two tons of clay, it was made in the 1980's in concrete for a height of two and a half meters; Weighs about a ton and does not contain any metal armor; Rests on a base of three meters, in black and white cement and various arsenic granulometry, about 6 meters deep.
It was placed by underwater diving association Diano Sub for the protection of seafarers, not far from Cavour pier, better known as Landini pier.
