The volume, curated by Daniela Gandolfi with the collaboration of Lorenzo Ansaldo and Rossana Managlia, sums up in 84 pages richly illustrated by almost 100 photos, drawings and reconstructions, sixty years of historical and archaeological research in the area of Diano Marina, revisited through the exhibition halls of the museum structure. The Archaeological Section, inaugurated on September 5, 2004, develops its exhibition path through ten rooms, one of which is multimedia, retracing the various phases of human attendance chronologically identified in the territory between Capo Berta and Capo Cervo,  from the ancient Bronze Age (Seventeenth century B.C.) come up to late antiquity (VI-VII century A.D.) and the first barbarian invasions, which caused the abandonment of the coastal settlement and the settlement on the "Castle of Diano" corresponding to the current Diano Castello.
